An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the development of the Urgent Care Practitioner workforce by providing a 12 month development programme, supported by a Practice Development Lead for the UTCs for acute and community sites. The Trainee Urgent Care Practitioner post will support autonomous practice and develop senior clinical practice..

The post holder will take managerial responsibility for the effective operational and clinical running for a portfolio of designated clinical services within the UTC footprint, ensuring effective clinical delivery and performance management against key performance indicators and financial targets.

A 12 month development programme focusing on autonomous practice in Urgent Care focusing on Minor Injury and Minor Illness including assessment, diagnosis and treatment.

NELFT collaborated with the Partnership of East London Cooperatives (PELC) in 2020 to provide an exciting opportunity of nursing and support worker support to work towards providing the Barking Havering and Redbridge Urgent Treatment Centres with high standards of care.

**Running across four sites**: Queens Hospital, King George Hospital, Barking Community Hospital and Harold Wood, the Urgent Care Centres cater for widely diverse population and high patient flow. The post holder will be integral in maintaining high professional relationships with PELC partners and external stakeholders while supporting the team workforce in day to day running.

Probationary Period

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £3,899 and a maximum payment of £4,968 per annum pro rata).
