An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Band 7 Registered Professional to join the Mental Health Central Access Point based at Anstey Frith Building County Hall.

The Mental Health Central Access Point (MHCAP) aims to improve access to mental health services and provide mental health support and advice through the NHS 111 opt 2 line operated by recovery workers and telephone triage facilitated by Mental Health Practitioners. In addition MHCAP operates a 24/7 mental health text service, operated by recovery workers and overseen by clinicians.

The Team Leads provide overall clinical responsibility to MHCAP during the hours of 09:00 17:00 rotating over Monday to Sunday.

The Team Leads will manage any clinical concerns, staffing issues, incident reporting, capacity to triage or increased referrals resulting in breaches of waiting times. Any complex issues will be escalated to the team manager and/**or service matron.**

**Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities)**

The duty team lead will give advice and support for complex clinical presentations.

The duty team lead will complete the daily SITREP (previous day’s 111, MHCAP, Emergency, Urgent and Routine Triages, Staffing escalation, General escalation on a standard proforma)

The duty team lead will also look at any outstanding triages that have breached and establish why this has happened, ensure that they are triaged and escalate via EIRF, and problem solve to find solutions to prevent breaches in the future.

At times of peak activity or staffing shortages there is an expectation that team leads will carry out clinical triages or co-ordinate.

The role is dynamic and requires specialist assessment of risk, the Mental Health Central Access Point is a professional and diverse team to work with and will provide you with lots of experience across the acute sector.

Working with Mental Health Central Access Point gives you opportunities to develop your skills as you will work with the other team urgent care pathway, primary care and secondary care.
