**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Greet clients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Co-ordinating with the RSPCA inspectorate, other Branches and the general public on a range of issues including animal acceptance, adoptions to new homes, managing the Centre retail shop and supplies.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining up-to-date records of animal acceptances and adoptions.
- Supervise Volunteers and staff working in reception, ensuring daily tasks are delegated appropriately.
- Ensure the reception training manual /protocols folder is kept up to date.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars for animal bookings, fosterers, adopters, home visits.
- Maintain an organised reception and shop area, ensuring it is tidy and welcoming at all times.
- Responsibility of ordering shop and Centre stock, pricing, shop displays, maximising shop sales and recording the takings for each day.
- As a member of the Animal Centre Management Team, assume site operational responsibility on alternate weekends and when required in the absence of Animal Centre Manager /Assistant.
- Collaborate with other team members to support various administrative functions as needed.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent typing skills with attention to detail in data entry tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- A friendly disposition with a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.25 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
