Hampshire’s most successful rugby club is looking for an **Events Manager** to oversee promotional occasions and private functions. If you have at least 2 years’ experience in a similar role, we want to hear from you.

**£30,000 per annum**
**Full time - 40 hours per week including weekends**

Are you an experienced Events Manager, with excellent communication and organisational skills? We are looking for someone passionate about promoting events to come work for us.
Havant RFC is Hampshire’s most successful rugby club with more than 600 players aged 6 to 60.
As well as the rugby, we are committed to being a hub that serves its community.
We host a variety of events and functions, including matchdays, events, weddings, birthday parties, business meetings and funerals. We also host charity events and regularly raise money to support local causes.
**About the Events Manager Role**:
This role is key to the success of the club - to be successful on the pitch we must be successful off it
We rely on the contribution that events deliver to provide profits that can be reinvested into the club to offer the absolute best rugby experience for those that play and watch it.
In this role you will be responsible for maximising the return on our Hospitality/Events business.
**It is essential that you have**:
- At least 2 years’ experience in an Event Management role.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- Plan and deliver Rugby, Club & private hire events from start to finish to meet customer requirements, target audience and objectives. You will also be required to forecast, plan, and manage all events and finances associated within guidelines.
- Maximise sales revenue, minimise costs and deliver maximum contribution with maximum guest experience.
- Be a key-holder for the club.
- Act as clubhouse captain (Duty Manager) when required.
- Provide matchday support, ensuring smooth running of the day and excellent customer service.
- Oversee all event staff and suppliers.
- Deliver the event brief with excellent levels of customer service.
- Prepare annual budget and ensure adherence.
- Source, negotiate with and manage suppliers, for example DJs, additional security etc
- Run the event - make it happen
- Design, produce and deliver promotional marketing campaigns for the event.
- Analyse the event’s financial and customer service performance and prepare reports.
- Model accurate costs, create specifications, produce quotes, complete customer contracts.

**Hours of Work**:
Events can take place across the 7 days a week that the club is open.
You will be contracted at 40 hours per week (with a bias towards the weekend), worked flexibly, running the events activity for any given week.
This role will be supported by colleagues in the management team make sure you achieve a balance of coverage and quality time off.
