**JOB DESCRIPTION - Youth Leader**

**VARIOUS ROLES AVAILABLE**

**Location**: Frogmary Green Farm, South Petherton

**Pay**: £12-13 per hour + (will vary depending on role & experience)

**Reporting To**: Jenn Hodge, CEO

**Start Date**: As soon as possible - but we have flexibility.

**Closing Date**:11:59pm Friday 25th October **(we reserve the right to extend this date)

**Interview Date**: To be confirmed.

**Hours**: See below

**Role 1**:
Term-Time, 15+ hours per week, including Wednesday & Friday(you must be able to arrive for work by 9am. You will finish between 3:15pm and 5pm)

**Role 2**:Term-Time, Evenings, 2.5 + hours per week between 5pm and 9pm(hours likely to be 5:45pm - 8:15pm) From £12 per hour
- NEW Youth evening groups

**Role 3**:
Saturday AM, 2.5 Hours per week, likely to be 9:45am - 12:15pm From £12 per hour
- NEW Play & Learn group for SEND young people & their family

**Role 4**:
Saturday PM, Casual (may not be every week), 2-4 hours per week, between Noon and 5pm.(likely to be 12:30 - 3pm). From £12 per hour
- NEW Educational Ad Hoc Groups (including celebrations/birthdays etc)

**Role 5**:
School Holidays, days can be flexible or fixed (depending on what you prefer)

15+ hours per week, between 7:45am and 5:15pm. From £12 per hour

We do sometimes work at events, this is not regular but we ask for a degree of flexibility from the team and will give as much notice as possible. This is likely to be 1-2 times a year and could involve a Saturday, Sunday or a full weekend.We aim to be flexible and want to hire the right staff for us - so if you would like to discuss hours etc - please feel free to get in touch.

Rama Life is based at the beautiful rural setting of Frogmary Green Farm. There is free staff parking close to our premises, hot and cold drinks are provided and we are sometimes able to offer staff discounts to activities and events.

You will be given branded uniform tops in a choice of style (polo, cotton T-Shirt, sports-T) and a full-zip or no-zip hoodie.

**What we need you to help us with**
- Planning and leading educational groups that provide a range of skill based activities.

We don’t expect you to be an expert in everything and you will be given paid time to plan sessions (and training and support to know what to do). Activities could include (but are not limited to):

- Cooking
- Arts & Crafts
- History
- World Topics
- Outdoor Learning/skills
- Life Skills
- Games & Basic Sports
- Gardening & Nature
- Debates & Discussions
- Team Building and Confidence Building
- Facilitating personal development and learning within these groups.
- Keeping staff, young people and families safe and following safeguarding processes.
- Supporting young people in building confidence, self-esteem and strong mental health.
- Supporting young people who may be neurodivergent or be experiencing high anxiety.
- Promoting the work we do with families and the wider community.
- Keeping our premises safe, tidy and clean.
