**THE ROLE**

Due to continued growth, Hammonds have an exciting opportunity for a talented **Head of Sales** to join the sales team on a full time, permanent basis. Reporting to our Sales Director, this role will see you being involved in all areas of sales management and leadership, and you will be an integral member of our Senior Management Team.

As our** Head of Sales,** you will shape, develop and deliver the sales strategy to ensure profitable growth, whilst in alignment with the Hammonds 5-year plan. Taking a proactive approach and considering the Hammonds customer experience in all actions and plans, you will examine growth opportunities and define data-driven action strategies to optimise commercial performance, deliver increased sales volume and profitable revenue generation.

In order to succeed in this role, you will be an experienced sales leader with proven leadership and management experience who can bring out the best in the existing sales management team. With your energetic and charismatic nature, you will lead, inspire and motivate our self-employed sales force team on an individual and large group basis, supporting them to meet targets and business aspirations in line with strategic plans.

**THE CANDIDATE**

Ideally our **Head of Sales** will be an analytical and driven sales leader looking for your next opportunity in a busy fast paced environment. You will have at least 10 years’ experience working in a sales position, with 5 years preferably working in the position of a senior sales manager role.

You must be able to effectively utilise analytical tools to undertake detailed analysis of sales performance for the purpose of reporting sales strategy successes, weaknesses and opportunities. You will have a keen interest in conducting research and data driven insights, coupled with planning, and analytical capabilities.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to tailor messages in relation to audience are pre-requisites, along with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
