**Yard Person - Warehouse Operative**

Here at S V Timber Ltd we a Timber Merchant serving the Midlands.

We currently have an opening in our Wigston branch for a Yard Person / Warehouse Operative.

**Roles and responsibilities**:

- To ensure all new goods received are checked, any shortages are reported to the Team Leader and put away into the correct location.
- To ensure all returned goods are processed in the correct way.
- To pick customer orders quickly and accurately in order to meet delivery cut-off times.
- To assist with loading and unloading of goods.
- To serve our collection customers
- To be a team player and be prepared to be flexible in helping cover for sickness and holidays.
- To be aware of and comply with the Company policies on Health and Safety.
- To maintain stock and Warehouse in a clean and tidy condition.
- To carry out any reasonable request as directed by the Supervisor or other senior company staff.

**Qualifications/attributes**
- Fork Lift licence preferable but training will be given
- Full UK driving licence
- Preferable GCSE C or above in English and Maths
- Must be physically fit and active as the role with involve lifting and will be physically challenging

**Hours & Wage**

Our opening hours at 7:00am until 5pm Monday to Friday, and 8am until 12 noon on a Saturday.

You will be required to work every other Saturday morning.

You will need to be flexible and prepared to do overtime as and when required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
