**About the Role**

This is an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to make a major contribution in an important multi-centre multi-phase study investigating the experiences and views of boys with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, their parent/carers and the health professionals who work with them.

Joining the Children, Young People and Families team in the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine you will be a key member of the team conducting qualitative research in the monitoring and management of osteoporotic vertebral fracture in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy with core responsibilities for undertaking online and face to face qualitative data collection and conducting data analysis.

**About You**

As Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the monitoring and management of osteoporotic vertebral fracture in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, you will have:

- experience undertaking research with children, young people, and their parents and carers.
- experience of collecting qualitative research data.
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise and work with children, parents and carers, and health professionals.
- experience of working on externally funded research projects.
- excellent organisation, time management and team working skills, with the ability to work independently across a range of settings.

**Salary**: £33,966.00-£37,099.00 per year
