Food Service Sales Representative

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Food Service Sales Representative to join our team. As a Food Service Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing client relationships within the food service industry. Your primary goal will be to drive sales and increase revenue by promoting our food products to Take aways, restaurants, hotels, schools, catering companies, and other food service establishments. This is a crucial role that requires exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and drive business growth within the assigned territory or customer segment.
2. Prospect and acquire new clients by identifying and engaging with decision-makers in the food service industry, including restaurant owners, chefs, and purchasing managers.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
4. Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our food products, highlighting their quality, taste, and value proposition.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, to identify market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer needs, providing valuable insights to enhance our product offerings.
6. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of agreements to secure profitable sales deals, while ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining company profitability.
7. Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and presentations tailored to the specific needs of prospective clients.
8. Track sales activities, customer interactions, and market trends using CRM software, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for reporting and analysis.
9. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, product knowledge, and competitor activities to effectively position our products and identify new business opportunities.
10. Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote our brand, build relationships, and generate leads.
**Qualifications**:
1. Proven experience in food service sales, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
2. Strong sales acumen and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to confidently present and persuade clients.
4. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.
5. Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to handle objections and resolve customer concerns.
6. Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive and persistent approach to achieving goals.
7. Familiarity with CRM software and proficient computer skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with various departments to achieve sales objectives.
9. Flexibility to travel within the assigned territory, as needed.
10. A passion for the food service industry and a genuine interest in food products and trends.
