About the Role

The post is responsible for all aspects of the 24/7 security provision to the Victoria Exchange and AO Arena complex including the safety and security of staff, visitors, assets and buildings.

Your Responsibilities:

- Provide a 24/7 service, securing our employees, staff, guests and assets.
- Provide cover in the Security Control Room and carry out other duties as assigned.
- Monitor the CCTV System in compliance with the venue CCTV policies and procedures.
- Ensure all building systems including, but not limited to, fire system, and house radio, are fully functional and maintained.
- To conduct planned and proactive internal and external security patrols.
- To manage access control systems for staff, tenants, visitors, contractors and productions.
- Incident and emergency response during event and non-event operations
- Liaise with emergency services as and when required.
- Investigate and record accidents when reported on site.
- Advise management of any external site issues.
- Responsible for the receipt of goods and deliveries including mail security screening, administration and notification to recipients
- To be fully conversant with the Company’s security and safety procedures and make decisions or referrals as appropriate.
- To provide assistance to other departments as required.
- Provide fire warden capability as required.
- The requirements of the business are such that a 24/7 shift pattern will be required.

Key Skills and Experience
- Current SIA Door Supervisors Licence
- Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) Qualification
- Awareness of Counter Terrorism Threats and Protective Measures
- The ability to take control of an emergency incident such as an evacuation and remain calm under pressure and the confidence/ability to deal with difficult situations including those involving conflict.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer care skills.

Desirable
- Current SIA CCTV Licence. Training can be provided for the right person
- First Aid at Work (FAW) Qualification.
- FREC 3 or FPOS First Aid Qualification
- Experience working in the event industry e.g. Door Supervision, Event Stewarding or Venue Security.
- Other security experience such as retail, loss prevention or manned guarding.
- Fire Awareness Training.
- Level 3 qualification in Security Operations or Management (NVQ or similar)
