Waste and Recycling Operative

**Axil Integrated Services is a leading waste management company who specialise in recycling and total customer waste management. Axil requires a Waste Operative to work on one of our high profile customer sites in Huntingdon.**

**Key Tasks**
- Daily pre use inspections to be carried out on all machinery and vehicles.
- Exchanging 1100L bins around site when full
- Full bins to be returned to the Axil waste compound, sorted, and processed.
- Operate safely ensuring our H&S policies / procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems are always adhered to.
- Always maintain a high standard and well organised waste compound.
- Communication, daily with the customer, contract manager, and line manager.
- Regular checks on waste levels of containers around site booking exchanges as required.
- Ensure all waste streams are segregated and stored correctly after processing in accordance with site and Axil health & safety policies, Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work and any relevant policies and procedures.
- Undertake training provided to assist you in your role.
- Encourage a positive work environment and culture for all employee.
- Provide solutions, continuous improvements, and innovations.
- All near misses, incidents, and accidents are to be reported via our incident reporting app.
- Driving licence
- FLT licence and towing experience is desirable
- Experience or knowledge on waste management processes is desirable
- This role is very hands on, you will be driving a FLT and supporting the customers with waste segregation.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £13.00 per hour
