**Job description - Experience bookkeeper**

We are a small expanding Bookkeeping business, providing bookkeeping and payroll services, to small owner managed businesses and sole traders. We would like to hire someone to take on the bookkeeping work for a small portfolio of clients. The majority of the bookkeeping work will be in xero.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Preparation of accounts to trial balance, which includes journals, prepayments and accruals

Preparation of quarterly VAT returns and submissions

Bank reconciliation, purchase ledger and sales ledger

CIS submission for a variety of clients

Small amount of monthly payroll processing

**Requirements**:
At least five years experience in bookkeeping

A competence knowledge of Payroll is also essential

Must be flexible enough to work to deadlines when needed

Have experience in cloud accounting systems

The ability to work quickly and methodically with an eye for detail

Have an interest and passion in helping small businesses and willing to go that extra mile to support our clients

Ability to manage your own time and work solely with minimum supervision

Have a positive can-do attitude, be personable and be a people person

This is a part time role, starting off with 12 hours a week which will increase with demand

Please note that this is a remote working position

Starting Salary £27,500 - £31,500 pro rata ( Depending on experience)

Interviews are to take place between Monday 16th September and Friday 27th September 2024

Pay: £27,500.00-£31,500.00 per year

Expected hours: 12 - 18 per week
