Park Academy, Boston, has an exciting opportunity for a Behaviour and Attendance Officer to join our dedicated, creative and supportive team.
This person will play a crucial role in complementing the professional work of Teachers and our Safeguarding team, taking responsibility for ensuring that children’s wellbeing remains at the heart of our academy ethos. It will be paramount for this person to encourage and nurture learners, building independence and confidence in order to help children progress on their journey in education

G5 12-15 £22,996.30- £25,657.42 actual salary 40 hours per week, 42 weeks per year

**The role will include**:
- Ensuring all staff are supported in knowing how to recognise and respond to individual child needs.
- Supporting individuals or groups of children in developing readiness for learning through support plans or in response to incidents during the school day
- Working proactively with learners who may require additional support with both emotional and behaviour needs
- Helping identify those where behaviour or poor attendance is a barrier to success in their future lives and developing and implementing strategies to address these issues.
They will also play a key part in communicating effectively with parents or carers about concerns or successes as appropriate.
Our Behaviour and Attendance Officer will support the strategic working of effective safeguarding and home school liaison at Park Academy.
**_This will be delivered by a person who can:_**
- Work within and help us develop our Behaviour and Behaviour for Learning policies
- Show a secure and practical understanding of safeguarding in Educational settings
- Demonstrate understanding of, and develop school-wide highly effective practice directed to improving attendance of key children
- Show understanding of the range of barriers to learning that children might face
- Demonstrate experience of working successfully with a range of behaviour challenges in young people and with a team in supporting them
- Demonstrate experience in working with challenging pupils
- A relentless commitment to ensuring that everyone can be their best, with the right support
- A brave and sensitive approach to addressing challenges
- A commitment to the values of our academy, the children and families in our care, and the Voyage Education Partnership
