**Summary**
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced **Quality Controller** to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading by example.
**Quality Control Role**:
- Monitor food safety and quality procedures in the production rooms
- Report deficiencies and correct them.
- Responsible for maintaining quality assurance processes.
- Ensure that packing line productions processes and product creation meets the quality specifications that are laid down by the customer/company.
**Job Accountabilities**:
- Maintain all documentation for the purpose of auditing
- Carry out product inspections to meet customer standard
- Encourage cleanliness on the part of the staff and ensure safe working conditions are in place
- Focus on compliance in order to make sure that products meet the required specifications
- Check production records throughout production run to ensure accuracy
- Engage in internal audits in a professional manner
- Ensure measuring equipment is functioning properly and within calibration requirements
- Work closely with the Floor Leaders to ensure that only quality products are produced
- Ensure that no expired raw material is used for production
- Help to check and update quality control procedures and templates as required
- Remove Non-Conforming products that are discovered during the packing process and document corrective actions
- Proactive in ensuring the integrity of the food safety and food quality system are maintained
- Responsible for reporting and taking necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring
**Quality Control Skills and Qualifications**:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Production experience
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Problem solving abilities
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
- Computer literate
- Able to interpret instructions whether written or spoken
- Able to work independently.
- Familiar with HACCP/BRC Standards.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: £12.80 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
