**Client Engagement Executive**
**Cardiff/ London**

As a Barclays Client Engagement Executive, you will be acting as a communications champion to ensure that Client messages are clear, and that the approach for Client engagement is managed effectively with sales planning & strategy teams. You will be delivering the client training strategy with a view to improving assurance, as well as managing the co-ordination of distribution of training to clients through appropriate channels.

This opportunity is location flexible. We will consider requests for locating the role at an alternative Barclays’ key UK office from that advertised.

We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager.

**What will you be doing?**:

- Creating collateral, training materials, Q&A’s and assisting Sales webinars that will deliver on the communications approach identified
- Ensuring that when incidents occur, Clients are informed of issues impacting their business and that messages are managed sensitively through relevant channels
- Coordinating and prioritizing all customer communication projects, ensuring Client impacts are identified, communication strategies are agreed, and customer experience is optimized
- Preparing presentations to appropriate boards and committees to obtain approval on proposed/ agreed approach
- Maintaining a detailed Client communications plan, ensuring that current & future activities are captured, overlaps between initiatives are understood and communicated with Client
- Assisting the delivery of initiatives to evaluate and improve the current Client communications strategy and framework
- Contributing towards wider initiatives that impact our customer base, which could include involvement in team planning & strategy creation, off-sites, or team meetings

**What we’re looking for**:

- Previous marketing and/or client engagement experience with familiarity of customer engagement strategy and execution
- The ability to understand complex concepts and translate them into meaningful terms for a variety of audiences
- Customer-focus, with the natural strive to keep the customer at the forefront of all activity
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, being able to share concepts/opportunities/ actions to gain buy in from across all levels

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Financial Services experience
- Knowledge / experience of Point of Sales finance
- Knowledge of the UK Corporate / International customer segment
- Experience of training design, delivery or co-ordination

**Where will you be working?**
In the heart of the Historic City Centre which is easily accessible by train or car. Home to the Welsh Rugby team and the Principality Stadium. The City Centre has undergone a number of redevelopment projects, including St. David's 2, which extended the shopping district southwards, creating 100 new stores and a flagship John Lewis, the only branch in Wales and the largest outside London.
