Are you an experienced HR Administrator looking to take the next step into HR Advice?
Our HR Advisor role is focused to provide a high quality HR administration service and advice on HR processes to employees and managers across Bath Spa University. The role is an entry level Advisor role, still holding significant responsibility for administrative work, but with the opportunity for development and stretch into Advisory support.
In a role that is interesting and varied you will be expected to provide a full HR administrative service encompassing the employee life cycle from issuing contracts to new starters to supporting leavers, and will be a key point of contact for HR enquiries. You will also act in an Advisory capacity, supporting Managers and staff on topics such as Occupational Health referrals and discussions, formal HR processes, and project work (as an example).
Working in a busy office you will enjoy working as part of team, liaising with University staff or potential applicants, together with the ability to demonstrate flexibility to achieve daily tasks whilst maintaining accuracy and an understanding of the wider context and impact of HR admin and advice services.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in initiatives to help the team deliver a professional, efficient HR service.
**About you (requirements)**
As an experienced HR Administrator, you will be familiar with standard HR processes and procedures, and may have some experience already of providing advice and guidance to managers and staff on how to interpret and implement HR policy and guidance, ideally in the Higher Education environment.
You will have proven experience of being able to work both pro actively and independently, and have good levels of both oral and written communication skills. You will have good organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure, with a real customer focus.
Holding a Certificate in People Practice qualification, or willingness to obtain would be desirable.
