A privately ran Building Services Contractor that installs and designs Mechanical and Electrical services across a variety of commercial and industrial sectors are looking for a Head of Finance. You will work closely with accounts and payroll staff to leadthe accounting department and report to directors as necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
This position is for someone who has experience as Head of Finance
- Monthly management accounts preparation including full reconciliation of all Balance Sheet accounts.
- Monitoring and reporting on contract financial performance.
- Departmental reviews to include Risk and Opportunity Reporting and Budget reviews
- Budget administration within SAGE and excel budget reporting.
- Responsible for daily bank administration including bank reconciliations, weekly and monthly payment processing, and cash flow forecasting.
- Administration of IR35 / VAT / CIS including returns.
- Financial Accounting activity including journal entries, Profit and Loss Account reconciliations, financial analysis, and Audit preparation.
- Manage sales and purchase ledger, and credit control.
- Assisting with grant submissions and claims.
- Develop and recommend / implement process improvements
- Preparation of government statistical returns
- Development of company templates using advanced MS Excel formulae
- Any other duties required to fulfil the requirements of the position
**Requirements**:

- You will previously have worked in the Construction industry as Head of Finance, Finance Director
- To be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent) but part qualified may also be considered with extensive experience.
- Relevant experience for a minimum of 2 years in the recent past
- Strong IT skills particularly with MS office
- Fully conversant with Sage Accounting Software.
