Our Client is the UK’s biggest end-to-end commercial vehicle fleet management business managing and maintaining a fleet of 80,000 vehicles across 65 garages.

Our Client is offering an exciting opportunity for a **Mobile Mechanic** to join their team and help look after the **Stoke on Trent **area, this will be a Monday to Friday daytime role, no weekend work required.

They are looking for a professional **Mobile Mechanic** to provide remote service & maintenance support to their Customer vehicles. As a qualified **Mobile Mechanic**, you will perform a full range of inspections, diagnosis, maintenance and repair procedures on a range of vehicle, LCV, trailers and mechanical equipment.

To qualify for this role you must have proven experience of working on a wide range of vehicles and be confident in your own ability.

**Role & Responsibilities of a Mechanic**
- Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic fault diagnosis, repair and installation
- Setting and operating of machine tools and equipment
- Department of Transport (MOT) testing duties (if approved tester)
- Accurately record time to complete jobs and associated details
- Use of skills and performance of other work within normal grade/job skills as required by the Workshop Supervisor to maximise workshop efficiency
- May occasionally have to deal directly with customers

**Skills & Experience to be a Mechanic**
- You must have a level 2 NVQ or similar in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles or equivalent
- Experience in the automotive maintenance industry
- Proficient fault finding / diagnostic skills - Ideal
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing at all levels
- Good customer facing skills
- Ability to work within given timeframes
- Be an experienced Vehicle Technician
- Ability to tackle all aspects of vehicle repair and servicing
- Ability to plan and priorities effectively and work within tight deadlines
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must have worked across passenger vehicles and LCV’s
- Must be able to work safely unsupervised and use own initiative
- Willingness and ability to travel
