SHW is an independent property real estate advisory business which specialises in many aspects of commercial and residential property.

The Apprentice Credit Controller will learn the entire accounts receivable cycle by assisting a credit controller and also the cashier debt collection and funds allocation. The Apprentice will be supported by SHW to obtain their AAT qualifications, Levels 2, 3 & 4 alongside academic studies undertaken at college and home.

Work based tasks:

- All aspect for credit control for various portfolios
- Providing property managers with debt reports and lists to authorise legal action
- Maintaining customer correspondence details and up to date records
- Cover for ‘cash inputting’ tasks
- Reporting to client on arrears position as and when requested
- Card Receipts
- Dealing with customer incoming calls
- Plus any other reasonable tasks that arise resulting from new & existing Property Management instructions.
- To provide credit control and accounting support for various portfolios.
- Provide debt reports on request to property managers.
- Report to clients as and when requested.
- Maintaining Qube with ‘take-on’ data for new business.
- General Ad-hoc support to PM Accounts including taking card receipts and other cash inputting tasks.

Apprenticeship studies:
To undertake the AAT Level 2 apprenticeship key areas, including:

- Bookkeeping transactions
- Bookkeeping Controls
- Using Accounting Software
- Elements of Costing
- Work effectively in Finance

To undertake the AAT Level 3 apprenticeship key areas, including:

- Business Awareness
- IT Systems and Processes
- Ethical Standards
- Financial Accounting and Reporting
- Management Accounting

The qualification covers a range of topics:

- Preparing final accounts of sole trader, partnerships, companies and not-for-profit organisations from Conventional and incomplete records
- Preparing year end and other adjustments associated with the above variety of organisations
- Demonstrating an understanding of accounts through analysis and interpretation
- Advanced Bookkeeping
- Management Accounting
- Indirect Tax
- Advanced Synoptic Assessment

- Meets AAT Apprenticeship Level 2 entry requirements
- Demonstrates some financial understanding & interest
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Willing and able to study independently outside of working hours
- Proactive and self motivated
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Good interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Excellent mathematical skills
- Friendly and tactful
- Organised

**Salary**: £16,000.00-£17,000.00 per year
