Brook Street Social Care is a high street recruitment company that specialises in finding temporary and permanent work opportunities for professionals who provide care or support to vulnerable adults, children and families. We work with a wide range of companiesthat provide residential care, supported living, hostel, nursery and day care services.
At present we are working alongside an organisation that provide support to adults who have mental health issues and are going through rehabilitation. The residents in these services present low risks, but require consistent support on their journey towardsmore independent living.
Our client is committed to putting residents first, and they recognise the importance of residents' involvement in decisions that affect their future too. That's why we are looking for people like you to inspire and support the residents lead their own recovery.Your role would be to support residents to achieve their goals and aspirations, developing domestic and finance management skills or accessing work, leisure or educational opportunities, your empathy, enthusiasm and compassion will have every chance to shine.Entering accurate case notes onto the IT system will be important too. And, when it comes to regularly liaising with GP surgeries, the local council, charities etc. or promoting the service within the community, again, we'll count on you.
This role will involve dealing with people who have sustained, or experienced mental breakdowns, so an understanding of mental health is important.
Due to the nature of the service, and recent legislation, we are only able to provide staff who have been vaccinated against covid, and are able to evidence this.
