Senior Quantity Surveyor

The role This is a senior appointment for the business, providing technical and operative excellence supporting the business’ ambitious growth plans. The role will lead on all major projects and tenders.
Working with new and existing clients to win new business from tender through to project completion. Tender You will be required to formulate tender submissions, so building/technical knowledge is essential.
You will be responsible for reviewing all related tender information and ensure the information is sufficient to price competitively with consideration to the business’ workforce and operation. Contract stage You will be responsible for reviewing all contractdocumentation and raising appropriate queries if applicable.
You will also be responsible for preparing a programme of works and payment schedule which reflects cash flow forecast for the project. You will also produce Bill of quants, RAMS and a project CPP for issue to the client for approval and respond to any queriesor amendments requested. Project mobilisation and commencement Working with the project foreman and H&S consultant to prepare the site for works.
Supporting in production of the H&S file and providing instruction to the scheduling manager for scheduling of works. You will also be responsible for ensure back to back contractual terms for any appointed sub contractors. Project delivery You will attendsite regularly to track progress of the job and subsequently report to client alongside management and issue of project valuations.
You will ensure that the project is running to programme and cost. You will provide ongoing and effective coordination between client (and other party stakeholders) and office teams to ensure the project is being delivered effectively. This is an excitingrole and opportunity to be part of a fast paced, growing business. An energetic problem solver who is commercially focussed and can manage, communicate, and seek resolution with a variety of stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**:
- Problem solver

- Preparing tenders for clients and commercial bids to help bring in new business
- Developing and presenting project proposals
- Meeting with clients to find out their requirements
- Producing plans and pricing/ tender completion and program mapping
- Discussing, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating the terms of business contracts
- Agreeing budgets and timescales with the clients
- Managing construction schedules and budgets
- Dealing with any unexpected costs - Attending site meetings to monitor progress
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, site and project managers
- Working with third parties to ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities
- Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards
- Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams and the client’s own representatives
- Overseeing invoicing at the end of a project
- Working on-site and in an office. Qualifications
- RICS qualified
- 5+ years relevant experience
