Female OR Non-Binary Personal Assistant required to assist a young non-binary person with a Neurological Disability, living in the Cumbernauld area.
You would be required to accompany, provide care and assistance within their home, and in the community including participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
- Accompanying to bookstores, book clubs, historical sites, museums and art galleries, zoos, animal parks etc.
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks
- Walking and general exercise, assisting with participation in these physical activities
- General Housework
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
The most important qualities are a non-judgmental, patient, warm and friendly nature, and a desire to work within a caring role.
**ESSENTIAL**:
- **Driver - you will be required to use your own vehicle - mileage allowance will be paid.**
- **Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.**
- **Pets in the household - you must be comfortable working with a dog in the home**.
- **LGBT friendly is essential for going to events.**
**DESIRABLE**:
- **Experience is desired, but not essential as training will be provided.**
**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**
Recruiting for 1 position.
Guaranteed permanent position of 4 hours per week initially, increasing in time.
**Days and Times**:
Wednesday or Thursday afternoon or evening, or Sunday evening - To be discussed at interview
Typically - Wednesday or Thursday afternoon: 2.00pm - 6.00pm or Sunday evening 6.00pm - 10.00pm. - To be discussed at interview
**Hourly rate**:
£15.00 per hour
