Data Service Reporting Analyst Apprentice

**General Overview of the Position:**

To gather and analyse data to support the Service Management Office in the successful delivery of all Service Management processes to all in scope organisations.

Prepare operational reports and use management information to suggest and implement quality and efficiency improvements throughout the process.

We will be **interviewing in February**, with the **position starting in March.**

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Works with Process Leads and Process Managers to review and refine key reporting processes to improve the quality of management information
- Support the development, testing and roll out of Service Management reports and dashboards
- Understand the operational functions and working practices of the Service Management Office by reviewing documentation to build a functional knowledge of how departments, systems and people and processes interlink
- Creates and develops solutions by analysing performance measures, interviewing team members and internal stakeholders, documenting results and presenting ideas and suggestions
- Generate and distribute operational performance reporting, providing trend analysis and commentary
- Supporting the Service Management Office with day-to-day reporting / data analysis requirements of all customers in scope

**Person Specification:**

**Experience, skills and qualities wanted:**
- Strong business acumen
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to produce, interpret and present clear management information
- Able to self-manage with mínimal supervision
- Good interpersonal skills to work with different management levels
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience of working with the IT/Tech industry
- Experience of working with a fast-growing SME
- Experience of writing database queries using languages such as SQL
- Experience of working with an ITSM Tool Set (ServiceNow, Ivanti etc.)
- Experience of working with Power Bi
- Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
- Knowledge of ITIL Framework
- Knowledge of Project Management methodologies

**Entry requirements**:

- GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above **_and_**:

- 2x A Levels (1 including Maths, Economics or ICT), **_or_**:

- An International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT, **_or_**:

- A BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits, **_or_**:

- A minimum of 15 months of experience within the last 24 months or 18 months in the last 36 months in an IT role.

**Specific roles that are acceptable are:**

- Data Administrator
- Business Analyst
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
