**Assistant SENCO Position**
**Location**: Harrow, North West London
**Position Type**: Full-Time, Permanent

A warm and welcoming primary school in Harrow is seeking a passionate and dedicated **Assistant SENCO** to join our supportive team. We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where all children can thrive, and we are looking for someone who shares this vision.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the SENCO in coordinating the school’s SEN provision.
- Work closely with teachers to implement effective strategies and interventions for children with special educational needs.
- Monitor and track the progress of pupils with SEN, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, and support staff to ensure a holistic approach to SEN provision.
- Assist with the development of SEN policies and ensure they are followed consistently across the school.

**Essential Qualifications & Skills**:

- A strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a primary school setting.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A patient, compassionate approach to supporting children with a range of needs.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in a SENCO or Assistant SENCO role.
- Qualification in SEN, or willingness to pursue further training.
