To take part in the 1-in-8 consultant on-call rota and conduct post-take consultant ward rounds To liaise and provide support to the Orthopaedic Treatment Service based within primary care To be part of a Multidisciplinary Team, which include Consultants in Anaesthetics and Rheumatology (pain service), Radiology, Pathology and Elderly Care, nursing staff, physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists To contribute to the training of Higher and Basic Surgical Trainees and other professional team members To ensure a high level of efficiency and effectiveness in the provision of patient care To fulfil continuing professional development requirements in line with clinical governance To participate in audit and other areas of Directorate responsibility To assist the department in meeting government targets, and take an active part in further development of the service To attend and actively participate in monthly department and education meetings.
