**Hepatology/Liver Transplant (6 months)**: The post holders will work within the ward-based team providing inpatient and day patient care to hepatology and liver transplant patients. Applicants must be in possession of GMC registration and experience of working in acute medical or surgical specialties is essential. The main responsibilities of these posts relate to inpatients and day patients. The inpatient case mix includes post-liver transplant patients, GI bleeding, complex portal hypertension, decompensated cirrhosis and acute liver failure. Patients attend the day case unit for day case liver transplant assessment or procedures such as abdominal paracentesis or liver biopsy. These posts will be most suitable for early career stage doctors considering a career in hepatology or gastroenterology.

The post includes a commitment to the out of hours rota for hepatology, liver transplant and HPB surgery inpatients.
