This roleis a **hybrid** opportunity. The **Backup & Recovery Manager** will act as the Manager for the Backup and recovery function. They will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, managing Disaster recovery tests & invocations for each technical platform and new backupsolution implementations. The Backup and Recovery manager will also be responsible for delivering exceptional service to internal and external customers. **What you will do**: - Overall responsibility for Backup & recovery Team - Line management responsibility for members of Backup & recovery team - Manage capacity across the backup platforms - Escalation point for the team, responding to Service Desk and Service Delivery Managers - Deliver multi platform backup solutions aligned with product team - Technical background allowing an overall understanding of backup technologies, - Communicate effectively to wider business areas, such as the Support, Infrastructure, Product & Service Delivery teams Customer Support - Ensure backup & recovery tickets are owned through to resolution - Maintain the team’s in and out of hours support rota - Identify repetitive tickets that can be automated or alternative solution provided to improve the service to customers - Adopt an agile approach to daily operations such as holding regular "stand ups" - Deputise to the Head of Managed Service Delivery - Conduct regular reviews with member of the backup & recovery team - Conduct regular reporting to measure performance - Provide day to day management including performing team SR5’s/KPI’s, regular one to one meetings and agreeing and meeting any training and development needs as well as supporting the Head of Manager Service Delivery on team engagement, focus and motivation **What we need**: - Logical thinking and problem solving ability - Analytical skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, in particular the ability to support and understand each member of the team and get the best out of them - Confidence and experience to hold team members to account for quality and delivery and style to do this in a constructive way - Positive, enthusiastic and supportive individual - Effective time management - Able to work alone effectively - Prioritise and effectively manage each day, looking at the short, mid and long term goals for the team - Ability to follow instructions effectively **What you will get**: - Up to £65,000 annual salary - Hybrid working model - Company Car/Allowance - Additional on call pay when required - 15% Annual Bonus - Mobile phone and company laptop - Lifestyle Benefits, Employee Assistance Program, Life assurance, Private Medical Insurance and more. - Paid volunteer hours - A Collaborative company that focuses on providing our employees and customers through the best experience - On site Gym and use of personal trainers **If you are interested, do get in touch straight away
