An expert in renewable energy, my client is looking for a Management Accountant to join the finance team on a permanent basis, based in York.
Already a big name in the renewable technology and property industries, this growing company are a trusted, innovative, and forward thinking set up and are looking to expand.
They are looking for a Management Accountant to join their busy finance team. Reporting into the Finance Manager this role will have responsibility for the nominal ledger, preparing monthly accounts and MI packs and owning balance sheet ensuring reconciliationsare complete with balances explained. As a highly acquisitive business, providing lots of opportunity to get involved in wider business projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for billing for the Northern region ensuring accurate VAT treatment.
- Undertaking revenue recognition calculations.
- Producing and owning the monthly management accounts pack including insightful commentary.
- Business partnering with the local operations team to maximise revenue and cost saving opportunities.
- Providing accurate & meaningful balance sheet reconciliations with explanations and actions.
- Proposing, implementing & managing business controls to protect company assets as we grow.
- Active participation in business improvement initiatives including on-going development of the company ERP system.
- Carrying out VAT returns.
- Undertaking adhoc duties as required as part of a busy Finance function for a rapidly growing business.
