**Information Security Consultant - Permanent Role**

**Financial Services**

**London/Remote - 1 day a week in the office**

**£60,000 to £75,000 per annum + 10% bonus scheme**

In an increasingly competitive market, the client needs to better utilise and secure its assets to comply with regulatory requirements, improve customer outcomes, satisfaction and gain a competitive advantage.

Reporting to Principal Information Security Consultant, the role requires a level of interaction with business areas, including IT Operations and Operations. This position also requires inter-IT cooperation.

The Information Security Consultant will develop and implement information security governance and consultancy to address the current and emerging information security and compliance requirements of Vanquis.

Information Security Consultant is expected to have a thorough understanding of Information Security Governance and Assurance frameworks and stay up to date with the latest industry standards and financial regulatory bodies as well as best practice securityconsultancy guidance.

**Required Skills**:

- Applied knowledge of industry best practices including NIST, PCI DSS, ISO27001 and any other applicable standards
- To ensure organisational assets are protected appropriately
- Demonstrate a pragmatic and risk focussed approach to problems
- An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily understood and actionable manner
- A team-focused mentality
- Strong interpersonal skills

Education / Experience
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Security
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- 5+ years of experience in information security

3+ experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks (e.g., IS027000, COBIT, NIST 800, etc.)
