Requirements and Expectations:
Proven experience within acustomer services role
A professional telephone manner
Microsoft suite experience
Able to liaise with people on all levels
Able to work on own initiative with mínimal supervision
Be proactive and able to think outside of the box
Be comfortable presenting information in large meetings
Confident to manage a processes that requires a robust approach to policy
An understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended) and Mental Capacity Act 2005
An understanding of the private healthcare sector
Previous experience in referrals management

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the referral process from enquiry through to admission of patients and residents in a timely and effective manner through close liaison with funding authorities and external placements.
Record all enquires referrals, and update daily.
Liaise with Hospital/Care Home Managers regarding pre admission assessments and subsequent findings.
Ensure relevant staff groups are involved to help and support with stakeholder visits, if appropriate.
Ensure that all assessment reports are completed with costings and sent to referrers in line with the company’s referral policy timescales.
Liaise with appropriate personnel regarding special equipment needs of potential residents.
Ensure events relating to planned admissions are well communicated to all relevant staff.
Responsible for maintaining a safe environment for yourselfin accordance with all Health and Safety, Infection Control, COSHH and other government legislation.
Ensuring the fabric and integrity of the building, fixtures and fittings is maintained to a high standard.
Ensure you are fully aware and operate within all policies and procedures, regularly updating knowledge of any changes.
Ensure that all duties are carried out to the highest possible standard and in accordance with current quality initiatives within this area of work.
Responsible for own time management.
Maintain resident confidentiality/data protection in line with unit and policy.
