We're looking for a finance professional to join and support our growing team at a fast-growing agri-tech business. The role is remote-first but you will be required to make occasional trips to our hubs in Hampshire and central London.
This is a new role which you will have the opportunity to shape and develop. It will need you to be hands-on, flexible and excited by change.

Founded in 2015 by farmers and developers, Hectare is a fast-growing agritech business with a growing team based all around the UK. The Hectare platform now powers some of farming’s fastest-growing marketplaces and we are beginning to deploy our technologyinto the wider agricultural industry.
We're now focusing on scaling our successful Marketplaces and establishing our SAAS business, focusing on our supply chain solutions that include agricultural logistics, trading and inventory management, not just for the UK market but also internationally.
Our team includes our external accountant who is responsible for the day to day bookkeeping and is an integral part of the team.

**ABOUT YOU**

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Invoicing - preparation of and sending out sales invoices
- Cash collection and debtor management
- Working with Stripe, ApplePay and our bank systems to ensure payment processes are running smoothly
- Payments - from invoice receipt to supplier payment
- On a day to day basis work with our external accountant to:

- ensure all transactions are recorded
- reconciliations are complete
- issues resolved
- Handling month-end close with our external accountant
- Producing weekly flash reports
- Preparing monthly management accounts and performance reports
- Participating in the planning and forecasting process
- Documenting policies and procedures
- Financial analysis to support the business
**PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE**:

- Qualified accountant
- 1+ years post qualification experience in the industry
- Have worked with different finance systems, ideally Xero or similar
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders
- Ideally experience of:

- a SAAS or subscription business
- working in an international business
- Strong Excel skills or equivalent
**WHAT SUCCESS WILL LOOK LIKE**
Day to day finance activities will be seamless and you will have established a close working relationship with our external accountant
You will be seen as an integral part of the wider business
Queries and issues are dealt with swiftly and everyone across the team are delighted with their interactions with you
You'll always collaborate at the right time to ensure the most efficient approach is taken to get the job done

Flexibility to work remotely (South East of UK only) or office-based or a bit of both. It's your choice, although if you work remotely, we would want you to be in the office for 2-4 days a month.
Office based in the South Downs with hub in London
Flexible hours - although this role is full time, we will also consider 4 days a week
