**The opportunity**

We’re looking for a part-time **Money Coach **to join our brilliant **Income Team** on a** permanent PTC.** Our Money Coaches help Yorkshire Housing tenants with managing money issues, accessing benefits and financial independence.

You might think of Yorkshire Housing as ‘just’ a housing provider. We own and manage nearly 20,000 homes (and counting) across Yorkshire and our mission is to make it possible for current and future tenants to have a place they’re proud to call home. But, our service doesn’t stop once the keys are in the door. We’re passionate about making a real difference in our tenants’ lives, and to us, that involves more than putting a roof over their head.

As a Money Coach, you’ll play a huge part in this mission. Are you interested yet?

**What you'll be doing**
- You’ll provide honest and informed financial advice, as well as coaching on all aspects of money management.
- You’ll prepare cases and represent tenants at tribunals.
- You’ll build and maintain strong links with the DWP, Housing Benefit departments and other statutory and non-statutory organisations including Credit Unions.
- You’ll advise other Yorkshire Housing teams with benefit and money coaching issues and accept and prioritise referrals from them to protect tenancies.
- You’ll undertake a triage role on a rota basis.

**Sounds good? Here’s what we need from you**

Don’t worry, we’re not looking for a chartered accountant. You’ll have some experience of advocating for people, giving out financial advice, and a good understanding of the benefit system.

What’s really important is that you’re a people person, with a knack for confident communication and building relationships with our awesome tenants.

You’ll have an understanding of dealing with welfare rights and working alongside tenants to help resolve benefits issues. And, you may have done some work related to serving socially and/or financially excluded communities or groups. If so, this role sounds perfect for you

Due to the agile nature of the role, you’ll need a valid UK driving license and access to a car insured for business purposes. You’ll also need to be able to commute mainly around the Craven area and travel around Yorkshire on occasions

**What's in it for you?**

In return, we offer **£22,347.35 plus a £1,371.43 car allowance per annum** pro rota for a 24 hour week, 25 days annual leave (raising annually to 30 days) plus Bank Holidays. **This offer will be pro-rated based on the working arrangement for 24 hour week.**
