**Infrastructure Engineer (VMware & SAN)**
A leading financial services corporation about to embark on greenfield on-premise to cloud migration is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer with solid capabilities in VMware (vCentre/ESXi) and Storage (SAN/NAS) to lead on several business-critical projects withsome BAU support. This role is paying up to £58,000 + 15% Bonus + Excellent Benefits based in either Chatham or Wolverhampton up to 3 days per week.
**Role responsibilities**:

- To provide administration and support services for existing VMware services for in house and hosted environments
- Recommend, plan and design changes to the VMware virtualisation infrastructure to address the requirements of the business
- To ensure optimum performance and availability of on premise VMware ESXi servers through monitoring and pro-active maintenance and housekeeping
- To provide VMware, Citrix and additional technology monitoring, including regular information reports, analysing performance and capacity profiles
- Performing investigations and taking ownership of operational problems or development and developing and preparing solutions
- To action production support requests, as required, in a timely and effective manner, in accordance with agreed Change Management and Support procedures, ensuring accurate and timely communication with the Technology Support at all times
- To maintain security and integrity of the production and development environments, in accordance with Office and Security Policies
- To provide rota based, on-call support for VMware and/or recently implemented solutions
**Skills required;**:

- 5+ years' experience with VMware and working in a large-scale, multi-site virtualised environment.
- 3+ years' experience with MS Active Directory at Enterprise/Multi Forest Scale
- Strong expertise in Backup Solutions (SAN/NAS)
- 3+ years' experience with MS Exchange and Exchange Online
- In-depth knowledge of vCenter Server and ESXi across all vendor-supported versions
- Knowledge of Storage Technologies - Nimble, HPE 3Par, DELL PowerStore (nice to have)
- Knowledge of MS Windows Servers and MS Exchange Servers
- Knowledge of PowerShell scripting (nice to have)
- Industry recognised certification within VMware (nice to have)
- Microsoft Cloud Certification AZ-104, AZ-303, AZ-304 or equivalent (nice to have)
**Package**:
