**About the role**
In this newly created role, you'll have overall accountability for defining and implementing an organisation-wide organic search strategy for Which? that reflects the latest trends and developments in search. You will be responsible for leading our search engine optimisation efforts to both our free-to-access and premium paywalled content to deliver organic growth across all digital platforms.
You will need to influence and work with colleagues across Which? to deliver improvements in search ranking and achieve target organic traffic volumes to drive key business KPIs. You'll manage a small, dedicated team and so, as well as providing strategic leadership, you'll need to be hands on in making things happen.
As part of the extended leadership team at Which?, you'll play a key role in helping to shape and realise our 2030 growth strategy. This is an exciting time to join Which? and help us to navigate the changing search landscape successfully.
**Key responsibilities include**:
**Developing and implementing a comprehensive search strategy to drive organic traffic to existing and new content and deliver our organisational goals.**
- Leading the prioritisation of key initiatives and delivery of activities across Content, Product and Tech teams to deliver measurable improvements in organic search performance and related KPIs.
- Leading our use of tools, data analysis and reporting required to inform optimisation strategies and monitor performance, including tracking and reporting on key SEO and site performance metrics and providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Monitoring developments and sharing insights relating to search engine algorithms, search best practice, competitor SEO strategies and changes in the search landscape to inform our search strategy.
**About you**:
- Proven experience of leading the development and delivery of search engine optimisation strategy to drive measurable improvements in performance over an extended period.
- Extensive applied experience of a wide range of SEO techniques, including keyword research, content optimisation, technical SEO, on and off site SEO, link building, EEAT factors and content design.
- Proficient use of a range of SEO-related tools and analytics and the ability to interpret SEO performance metrics, track KPIs, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
- Demonstrable ability to lead and inspire direct reports and a wide range of other stakeholders to deliver measurable results.
