**The Role**

The difference our new Main Guardroom Clerk (PT) will make

As a Main Guardroom Clerk (PT), you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Delivering to the expected standards of the equivalent RAF/MPGS function

Day to day, you’ll present and represent the public face of Babcock International and the standards and ethos of the Royal Air force at all times, issue appropriate passes and permits IAW relevant policies including but not limited to, JSP 440 and RAFC Cranwell Control of Entry Policy, outstanding communication and customer service skills to ensure all queries and issues are addressed satisfactorily in a timely manner at all times, operate the SISYS visitor pass system, including the input, maintenance and storing of information in line with the relevant policy, understand the vetting regime and ensure the issue and renewal of all passes meets the standards required commensurate with appropriate clearances.

Maintain any/all filing systems of records and associated paperwork that is robust and auditable, liaise with other units for the receipt and forwarding of records on posting in/out of personnel, co-ordinate any/all visits to the station, ensuring access is facilitated appropriately. You will be able to work alone with the self-motivation to operate within the parameters of policy whilst employing logical pragmatism to ensure the task is delivered in a customer friendly yet security compliant fashion, ensure the tidiness and daily housekeeping of section, wear Babcock provided corporate clothing, always maintaining a high standard of dress and personal deportment.

Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with MOD, RAF & Babcock instructions, and directives always, promote best practice, report bad practice and non-compliance, and take preventative action to ensure continual improvement in the organisation, adhere and champion company policies i.e., Diversity, Dignity and Respect at work, champion a Total safety Approach. Always ensure full compliance with all relevant Health, Safety and Environment regulations and exercise a Duty of Care promoting a positive approach towards workplace health and safety, mentor new starters to the team to ensure that individuals are successfully inducted into the business and carry out any other duties in any locations as required to support the contract.

**Essential experience**
- Proven Customer Service experience in a fast moving, complex and pressurised environment
- Advanced IT skills
- Outstanding communication skills.
- Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills in a high workload environment.
- Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment.
- Full UK driving license

**DESIRABLE**:

- Experience of working in a military environment.
