**Salary**: Up to £21,400 per annum depending on skills and experience.
Role Overview:
This Company has an exciting opportunity for two Water Quality Technicians to join our friendly, dynamic team in Otterbourne.
The role of Water Quality Technician plays a key role in ensuring that the company meets the required regulations set to us by the Drinking Water inspectorate and the Environment Agency.
Day to day your role is to undertake water, waste water and sludge sampling in accordance with the sampling schedule, taking great care and attention to detail to ensure procedures are followed correctly.
This role involves some customer facing elements, therefore the individual must have a broad overview of customer facing policies and have the ability to deal with customers in an empathetic and positive manner.
Undertake the sampling role to ensure delivery of compliance and service targets.
Ensure sampling is undertaken in compliance with the procedures contained within the quality system.
Act as an ambassador when working with customers.
Ensure safety processes and procedures are followed within the operational area.
Ensure the operation site is secure and as far as is possible within the remit of the role operating effectively.
Role Accountabilities:

- Undertake customer sampling and complaint handling
- Carry out on site analytical testing and associated quality checking to ISO17025, DWTS and MCERTS standards
- Undertake emergency sampling during incidents and advise on water and wastewater quality issues
- Registration of samples onto laboratory data system
- Administration associated with sampling and monitoring
- Reporting safety hazards
- Scientific equipment management and fault diagnosis
- Assess operational sites for general condition of operation / defects / issues
Key Experience & Qualifications
- Water hygiene qualification
- Clean driving license
- Have a good understanding of company policy in relation to customer service.
- Must be IT literate
- Good communication skills, able to have an empathetic view of the customer.
- Must be trusted and able to work competently and reliably unsupervised.
