Little’s Funeral Service is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a **Trainee Funeral Director**. This position offers a unique opportunity to enter a respected profession, providing guidance and support to bereaved families throughout their time of need.

As a Trainee Funeral Director, you will receive full training and mentorship to develop the skills required to arrange and conduct funerals with dignity, professionalism, and care. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, gradually assuming responsibility for all aspects of the role as your knowledge and confidence grow.

**Principal Duties (with training and support)**:

- **Assisting Families**: Supporting clients in making funeral arrangements, ensuring their wishes are carried out with sensitivity and respect.
- **Care of the Deceased**: Ensuring that those entrusted to our care are looked after with the utmost dignity at all times.
- **Funeral Arrangements**: Learning to coordinate every aspect of a funeral, including vehicles, floral tributes, service materials, and liaison with third parties.
- **Conducting Funerals**: Assisting with, and in time leading, funerals to ensure that each service is conducted to the highest standard.
- **Mortuary and Preparation Work**: Gaining experience in coffin preparation, dressing of the deceased, and maintaining appropriate presentation standards.
- **On-Call Duties**: Participating in the out-of-hours rota, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, to provide care and assistance whenever required.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in the southside of Glasgow.
