This multiple-award winning & truly independent Global TV & Film Producer Group have a healthy balance sheet and continue to experience sustained growth.

They boast an impressive range of titles and have a worldwide reputation for delivering successful, cutting edge and high-quality content.

They are now recruiting for a hands-on Financial Controller. Reporting to the FD you will manage the day operations of the finance function with the main-focus on month-end and actuals as well as some ad-hoc project & analysis work.

They are looking for a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with a proven background in actuals/reporting. Superb career prospects as well as the opportunity to work across all areas of the business in this relaxed, highly creative but fast-pacedenvironment.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Managing the team of three accounts staff to ensure all transactions and reports are processed accurately according to deadlines agreed with the Finance Director.
- Preparing accurate monthly management accounts including cashflow and group consolidation.
- Working with the auditors to ensure a smooth, efficient and timely year-end audit process.
- Preparing departmental reports to ensure department heads manage their budgets effectively in line with company policy.
- Integration of new ventures and associated companies to the Group to facilitate its expansion.
- Managing cash to reduce risk exposure to movements in forex rates.
- Managing distribution statements for amounts payable to third parties in line with relevant contractual requirements
- Monitoring production finance to ensure projects are funded and profitable in line with company policy.
- Ensuring financial controls are fit for purpose and implemented correctly.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Newly/recently Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Proven background in month-end
- Experience of managing/developing staff
- TV /Film experience preferred but not essential
- Able to show initiative and be proactive in suggesting improvements to working practices
- A self-starter who can work autonomously and manage multiple projects/deadlines all at once
- Excellent communication skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced but relaxed and creative environment.
