About the role

Booker Group is recruiting for a The Promotions Coordinator. In this role you will works within the Promotions team, and are responsible for managing effective, secure and efficient processes in promotions to help improve customer satisfaction and cash profit. The Promotion Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the promotions procedures are operating effectively. Accountable for the accuracy of promotions to minimise errors in Branch and customers outlets across all types of media. Also compliance with Booker Ltd policies to ensure Trading Standards and all legal requirements are met in any branch communication, web information/price establishment (this list is not exhaustive). Additionally to advise on the administration of ad-hoc promotional activity proposed by the business, taking into account the differing requirements of the customer and supplier whilst adhering to all GSCOP legislation.

You will be responsible for

Health, Safe and Legal (Governance, Security and Controls):

- Comply with all procedures and system security measures.
- Comply with all company policies, e.g. financial planning and control, health and safety etc.
- Follow agreed procedures to resolve queries and escalate as required.
- Comply with Supplier Terms Agreements (STA) to ensure we remain compliant with contractual terms and conditions.
- Champion diversity and inclusion to ensure everyone feels welcome at Booker.

Customer Satisfaction:

- Work to identify issues that will or are impacting Branches or Customers availability and then work promptly, jointly & proactively to mitigate and resolve such issues.
- Prioritise and promptly resolve promotional issues.
- Specify improvements to processes/procedure and then work to test with all interested parties and implement.
- Work to reliably and efficiently produce timely and accurate promotional information.
- Provide training and guidance to end users as required.
- Work with colleagues to manage service perception and the understanding of Trading Support services.
- Work proactively with stakeholders to improve processes.
- Work promptly, jointly & proactively on projects to improve cash profit & customer satisfaction.

Cash Profit:

- Work with stakeholders to achieve effective solutions.
- Accountable for the accuracy of promotions to minimise invoice failures and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Responsibility for the accurate transfer of data from the promotional master sheet information onto SAP.
- Ownership for administration of all weekly Regional/Local Beer/Ad hoc promotional activity.
- Plan and manage the introduction of training activity for other colleagues on all promotional process changes/SAP enhancements into the business.

You will need

- Strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional ‘eye for detail’ and a deep understanding of how all the promotion team interacts with other departments.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with a “can do” attitude.
- Someone who can make decisions.
- Creation of promotional analysis and support documentation for internal and external customers, and occasional delivery of training for internal users.
- Desire to proactively identify system improvements that could benefit our customers or our support teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, being able to communicate effectively and efficiently with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- The ability to interact with customers and colleagues confidently, whilst demonstrating patience and empathy.
- Ability to quickly adapt to change.
- Previous experience of working in a promotion or trading role (ideally at least 2 years of experience in a similar role).
- Experience of working in an environment that consistently delivers results.
- Current system familiarity and knowledge.
- Decision maker.
