**The Service**
Tangier Road Children’s Home provides care for children aged 8-18 with complex social and emotional needs. Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted in May 2023, the home is recognised for its effective leadership and the protection and support it offers to young people.
**The Role**
As a Children's Home Carer you will:
- Provide day-to-day care and support for up to three children.
- Help children achieve their individual goals and improve future outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with professionals including schools, therapists, and the Youth Offending Team.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and team meetings.
You will need to have/be
- Builds strong, trusting relationships with children.
- Communicates effectively with children, families, and professionals.
- Understands the challenges children face today.
- Is calm under pressure, a good listener, and a confident decision-maker.
- Has strong written skills for reports and documentation.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Holds a valid driving licence (MIDAS qualification is a plus).
- Has or is willing to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
- Can converse confidently in spoken English.
