If you are ready for an adventure, join us and help steer Oddfellows Chester to new heights. **What's the Role?** As a Wedding & Events Co-ordinator, your responsibilities will include: - Responding to, converting, and upselling wedding and event enquiries. - Driving and converting M&E bookings in line with the hotel budget and KPIs. - Conducting client site visits and updating M&E channels. - Developing awareness of the hotel in the marketplace. - Executing contracts from initial inquiry to completion. - Gaining new M&E business and signing new local corporate accounts. - Regular communication with hotel teams to maximise opportunities. - IT proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Power Point. - Collaborating with the Senior Management Team to identify and drive focused activities. - Preparing M&E contracts and contributing to sales initiatives. **Person Specification: Essential** - GCSE English and Maths equivalent. - Experience in hotel events is essential. - Ability to organise and prioritise workloads. - Proficient in providing accurate statistical data. - Computer literate with effective communication skills (written and verbal). - Proactive problem-solving approach. - Confidence and drive to achieve results. - Strong desire to seek, find, and convert Events & Occasions business. - "Can do" attitude, remaining calm under pressure. - Flexible approach to hours to meet hotel needs. - Passionate & enthusiastic about Oddfellows hotels. **Desirable** - Fully competent user of Rezlynx C&B. - Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position within an Events team. - Events qualification or working towards one. - Operating knowledge of other hotel departments. **Salary**: £26,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Company events - Employee discount Schedule: - Monday to Friday **Experience**: - Event Management: 1 year (required) Ability to Commute: - Cheadle, SK8 1HX (required) Ability to Relocate: - Cheadle, SK8 1HX: Relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person
