Location: Oldham or surrounding areas

Remuneration: £25,000 - £30,000 + discretionary bonus

The role of the Design Technician - Formwork Systems will involve:

- Design Technician position supporting the design team with designs for temporary formwork systems
- Assisting with the production of drawings, calculations and material call offs under the supervision of their manager
- Liaise with the sales team and client where required to gain an understanding of the schemes of work
- Visit sites and offer on-site assistance as requested
- Further develop your design capabilities and attend training sessions as determined by your manager
- Stay up to date with industry standards and construction techniques
- Get sign off from the Design Manager to ensure designs are up to standard
- Dealing with projects ranging from small hire sales for £10k up to large bespoke projects of circa £2m

The ideal applicant will be Design Technician - Formwork Systems with:

- Ideally will have some temporary works design experience
- Must have a Civils Engineering degree
- Ideally will have an understanding of various formwork systems
- Must be familiar with design software such as AutoCAD / Revit
- Familiar with determining maximum bend moments, shear and deflection
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Tenacious, professional and high attention to detail
