Stantec’s UK Air Quality Team continues to be engaged in a wide range of technical work and to help continue the successful growth of the team and wider Stantec UK business, we are seeking an experienced consultant who will be a key part of the expansion of our capabilities. Primarily this relates to the assessment of highway infrastructure (through a range of frameworks with Highway Authorities and contractors across the UK), but also across the wide range of sectors, we work for.

**Key responsibilities / Duties will include (dependent on level)**:

- To provide technical and team leadership for the assessment of highway-related projects
- Liaison with clients and key stakeholders
- Technical supervision and mentoring of junior team members
- Technical and commercial management of air quality projects
- Developing assessment techniques to reflect the requirement of emerging policy and guidance
- Preparation of proposals for air quality projects (and coordination of other technical services)
- Business development of air quality services including maximising opportunities through existing Frameworks and support for the wider business on bids.

**Capabilities and Qualifications**:

- Established in the assessment of highways schemes in accordance with relevant UK highway authorities requirements (i.e. DMRB and WebTAG)
- Experience of working for a consultancy is essential
- Expertise in the assessment of emissions to air from the power, minerals, industrial or waste sectors would be advantageous
- Experience in managing and mentoring junior team members to enable them to progress
- Good communication and report writing skills
- Ability to work alone and within multidisciplinary teams
- Full membership of the IAQM
