Room Leader

**Woodpeckers Room Leader 3-4 years 40 hours per week Full Time, Permanent**

**Availability to work varied shift patterns between 7.00am-7pm**

**The Fordingbridge Day Nursery and Pre-School, now part of Family First Nurseries, is looking for a passionate Room leader to join the team in their Woodpeckers room. We’re looking for a fun, lively, diligent and enthusiastic individual that has relevant people leadership experience. Flexible hours might be available for the right person. Salary from £23,300 Full Time.**

**Level 3 Childcare Qualification is essential**

**Room Leader main responsibilities include**:

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
- Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
- Communicate with impartiality and consistency, respecting parent/carers’ expectations and seek guidance from management if in doubt
- Provide the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development
- Report any child safeguarding or protection matters, including allegations and serious accidents/injuries to management
- Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file
- Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency

**Room Leader requirements and skills**:

- Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification
- Over 1 year’s experience working in Early Years
- Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements
- Over 6 months’ experience working in a senior position
- Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating
