**Position Overview**

The HR Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions across our gambling stores. You will be responsible for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and contributing to a positive workplace culture. This position requires someone who can handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of professionalism and confidentiality.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Recruitment & Onboarding**:

- Facilitate onboarding processes to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
- **Employee Relations**:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, ensuring a fair and consistent approach to problem resolution.
- Foster a positive work environment by implementing initiatives that promote engagement and retention.
- **HR Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, particularly in areas such as scheduling, wages, and employee rights.
- Maintain accurate employee records and oversee payroll-related documentation.
- **Training & Development**:

- Identify and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
- Conduct orientation sessions and refreshers on workplace policies and procedures.
- **Performance Management**:

- Support managers in the implementation of performance reviews and feedback processes.
- Provide guidance on handling performance issues and disciplinary actions.
- **HR Strategy**:

- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
- Monitor HR metrics and provide insights to improve organizational performance.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Proven experience as an HR Specialist, HR Generalist, or similar role (experience in retail or gambling industries is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in SAGE HR or QUICKBOOKS, Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
- CIPD or equivalent HR certification is an advantage but not mandatory.
