Stock Office Team Leader

We are currently recruiting for a Supervisor, Inventory Control or Stock Office Team Leader to join our customer support team at our head facility located in Heywood. This role will heavily focus on actively supporting the wider Management Team with the day-to-day operation by ensuring an efficient performance in achieving business targets.

**Working hours**:Sunday to Thursday 20:00 to 04:00with 1 hour for lunch

**Duties and responsibilities**:
**People Management**
- Manage the Stock Team's routine, ensuring night processes and house keeping is carried out
- Manage time and attendance for team members, taking responsibility for people management issues e. g. Investigations
- Communicate regularly priorities, targets, and operational requirements
- Regular meetings with team to ensure views and thoughts are heard and supported
- Support with recruitment, organise onboarding, as well as ensuring targets are met
- Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the Operations Support Manager
- Promote and engage with all site initiatives i.e., Health and Safety Meeting, You Said We Did meetings, Company Events
- Maintain clear communication lines between cold store, office, and senior management

**Customer Relationship Management**
- Attend customer calls and support in building relationships
- Provide alternative solutions to support timely service to our customers and be first line of escalation
- Ensure customer communication is upheld within the team and consistent updates to customers on load status are made across both day and night shifts

**Self-Management**
- Support change and continuous improvement within the team and site
- Engage interest and participation of others and demonstrate collaborative approach to working with others
- Promote ‘can do' attitude and opened and honest approach and commit to teams' development

**General**
- Have a hands-on role and support the team by answering queries and undertaking stock investigations when required
- Take ownership of site functions e.g., Site POs, PPE management, stationary stock replenishment

**What are we looking for?**
- Great people skills, confident in managing people and cultivating a strong team ethic
- Occasional flexibility in working schedule to enable time to be spent with PM shifts
- Experience in warehousing inventory control and/or distribution environment
- Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Professional customer services and organisation skills
- Strong eye for attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, team player with the ability to use own initiative
- PC Literate including MS
- Knowledge of customer care in shipping and transportation preferred but not essential
