**About Us**:
The Watering Can is a charming café bar nestled in the picturesque Green Bank Park in South Liverpool. We pride ourselves on offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere and exceptional dining experiences to our guests. We are currently seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Part-Time Restaurant Host to join our team.

As a Restaurant Host, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience from arrival to departure. Your responsibilities will include:

- **Welcoming Guests**: Greet all guests entering the restaurant in a friendly and timely manner.
- **Seating Arrangements**: Escort guests to their tables and inform them of their server.
- **Telephone Management**: Answer calls professionally, take messages, and handle bookings and deposits in line with company policy.
- **Table Management**: Assist the Restaurant Manager in managing the restaurant’s flow and communicate guest covers to the kitchen team.
- **Manage bookings**: using ResDiary
- **Guest Relations**: Address guest questions and requests effectively or refer them to the Duty Manager when needed.
- **Team Support**: Assist restaurant staff as requested by the Duty Manager.
- **Cleaning Duties**: Ensure cleanliness of menus, host stand, immediate restaurant area, and outside entrance areas.
- **Data Capture**: Support managers with data capture by accurately using the booking system.
- **Inventory Management**: Conduct weekly inventory of menus and report to the Duty Manager.

**Requirements**:

- Experience using ResDiary or similar
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly and approachable manner with a passion for guest service.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain a professional appearance.
- Prior experience in a similar role is advantageous especially Res Diary experience
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including weekends and occasional evenings
