**Location**: Manchester - Hybrid working

Lorien Global have partnered with a large global bank to assist in their search for a world class Data Protection Specialist. This is a senior position that's sits within their Information Security, Policy, Privacy and Awareness team responsible for continuousdevelopment of data protection processes, privacy framework and the continued development of the team data protection knowledge.

You will have extensive knowledge on privacy security, a good understanding of information security and well as experience managing, leading and developing other colleagues within data protection and privacy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Be responsible for the design and operating effectiveness of the UK specialist data protection processes and procedures owned in the information security
- Be operationally responsible for the effective design, implementation and continued development of the Data Protection policy, framework, Control Standards and instructions and underpinning maintenance processes.
- Lead the planning, development and managing the delivery of the 1st line risk prioritised data protection plan, including effectively leading and developing a team, managing any changes, new demands, requirements, or issues and providing regular status/deliveryperformance reports to management as required.
- Support the continued development of specialist data protection technical knowledge
- Provide specialist technical support and challenge to risk & control assessments relating to privacy, for example, external supplier due diligence and privacy impact assessments
