Investigo are exclusively partnering a high growth Oil & Gas company in Surrey, to recruit a Financial Controller, to support the ongoing growth.

You will report directly into the CFO and play a key role in running the finances of the business, alongside supporting providing input into the long term strategy.

Duties include:

- Manage the process of completing the statutory financial statements
- Full year accounts
- Interim review (half year)
- Subsidiary statutory accounts
- Perform detailed review of the above
- Provide accounting technical input / solutions to ensure correct accounting treatment and disclosure
- Manage the month end process to ensure timely month end reporting
- Provide / review financial reports for board meetings
- Generate / review month end reports as required for senior management
- Responsibility for maintaining and updating finance manual and related financial processes
- Overall responsibility for the Corporate cash flow model, updating and refreshing it for changes in forecasts, prices, company and asset structure
- Develop external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, accounting / tax advisors and statutory organisations such as HMRC (as required)
- Manage finance matters for joint venture activities (Finance Committee Representative)
- Manage and maintain the key Finance systems and relationship with suppliers/vendors
- Support CFO in all other matters that may arise, as required

My client is looking for the following:

- ACA or ACCA Qualified with a strong technical background
- Experience in and Oil & Gas E&P company would be a huge advantage or experience of previously auditing within the industry.
- Experience of listed company reporting (AIM or Main Market)
- Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature
- High numeracy and sound technical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- An analytical approach to work
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise
- Problem-solving skills and initiative
- Commercial and business awareness
