We have an exciting opportunity for Bank Healthcare Assistant's to join our Primary Care team at HMP Thameside, a category B prison located in **London.**

**HMP Thameside is a male prison based in North London that has capacity for 1232 inmates. This role is working within inpatients.**

**Hours**

Thameside run 24 hour healthcare.

Shift patterns are either 0700 - 1930 or 1900 - 0730 Monday to Sunday.

This role is bank so will be ad hoc as and when needed - The maximum hours you can do per week is 22.5 or 90 over the month.

**Salary**

Weekdays - £16.58

Weekends & Nights - £19.18

**What you'll be doing**:
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care

**Qualifications required**
- NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
